Ruby Tuesday ~ ( for Sept 29, 2009 )

~~~
It's time for our Ruby Tuesday posts again.
This is a flowering vine I have growing in my back yard.
It's a red Passion flower.
There is also a purple one, which is more commonly grown, I believe.
I don't have that one ... but I think I prefer this deep red color of mine!
Hi Carletta,
It's not such a large flower...maybe 3 inches across.
It IS very pretty and I was happy when we found it. I had only seen the purple color before.
I'll visit and post at your place tomorrow. I'm going to bed a little earlier tonight!
How beautiful that flower is. The red is so briliant. It looks kind of like a shooting star flower the way the petals bend back from the center.
Passion flowers have to be one of the most interesting looking flowers. I've only seen the purple ones before. This red one is wonderful and great photos. thanks for sharing them.
