This is a flowering vine I have growing in my back yard.
It's a red Passion flower.

There is also a purple one, which is more commonly grown, I believe.
I don't have that one ... but I think I prefer this deep red color of mine!

Night blooms

Late Night Blooms


Late last night I remembered I had 2 blooms that were due to be opening on my night blooming cactus plant. I always try to catch these, if possible, because they only bloom at night and are gone by early morning.I remembered to check them just before going to bed last night-past mid-night! (almost missed them)

There are only a few blooms on each plant each blooming season so it's a challenge for me to watch these plants closely and NOT miss the blooms! I DID miss the first 3 this year! :(

This was one of my mom's favorites so the blooms always bring back sweet memories of her... This is one of the things she and I enjoyed together- all through the years!

Art Horses

This week Carletta, of 'Round the Bend,' posted and blogged about a very neat painted art horse she had seen on her travels.

LOL- Seems Carletta and I are often on the *same track* with our blogging- as we often find the same things to photograph and show and talk about.
We both, do indeed, take a lot of pictures of a lot of different things! :)

Anyway- Carletta's horse blog brought our own 'Horse Fever' project back to mind for me. Here in Ocala our horses were created by local artists and eventually, sold at auction.

I wrote about it here!

It's a GREEN world!

Oh, my!

A lot of green here ! I DO like green but this may be a little much!

There was not a lot to choose from in the template dept. and I have not yet ventured into the custom designs.
( I may never do that , with my limited skills with all this computer stuff!)

Oh, well-at least for the time being- we'll just have to put our dark glasses on and get used to all this brightness!
